Half binding

This is a style book binding, where the spine of the book is covered with a different material than the two covers - for example half cloth binding.
In half binding, the covers are often covered with paper, while the corners are often covered in the same material as the spine.
The description of the binding depends on the cover material of the spine, also half leather or half parchment binding. Half binding is used today almost exclusively in the bibliophile sector.
